Welcome to the blog of Jen Slot Photography!

Hi there... I'm Jen. 

As I am sure you can tell by now I have an amazing passion for photography. But there is so much more to me than that...

I am a mom to two ridiculously fun + energetic + smart kids. They keep me on my toes and are a constant inspiration to me. I am a wife to the most loving, supportive and I would also like to mention the hottest UPS driver ever! He has been the person from day one to keep me motivated and moving forward. He has always wholeheartedly believed in everything I am trying to do. I have an AMAZING family. I truly feel blessed. 

So who am I really? Well, I am a 27 yr old wedding photographer living in Santa Maria, CA. I am fun. Creative. Very laid back. I am a true romantic. I will probably cry at your wedding. I love,  love, love to snowboard it is my therapy. I think knee high socks rock. I need chocolate every night. When I was younger I used to love scary movies... and now I can't watch them. I love BBQs. Old barns. Uggs. Bouncing with my daughter on her trampoline. WRXs. flickr. Birthday weekend with the girls. Any wedding reality show + top chef. Weddings! Meeting awesome in love couples who are ready to jump in front of my lens for some fun.

It has been just over a year since the last time I photographed a wedding out at the Cayucos Creek Barn and I just love this place. Well I seem to be a sucker for old barns in general but this barn is just so sweet. The couple brought in so many little details to really personalize the space but they didn’t take away from the charm and character that the barn has. It was perfect. I had a blast photographing this wedding… everyone was so friendly and just generally excited to see two amazing people declare their love for one another.
