Welcome to the blog of Jen Slot Photography!

Hi there... I'm Jen. 

As I am sure you can tell by now I have an amazing passion for photography. But there is so much more to me than that...

I am a mom to two ridiculously fun + energetic + smart kids. They keep me on my toes and are a constant inspiration to me. I am a wife to the most loving, supportive and I would also like to mention the hottest UPS driver ever! He has been the person from day one to keep me motivated and moving forward. He has always wholeheartedly believed in everything I am trying to do. I have an AMAZING family. I truly feel blessed. 

So who am I really? Well, I am a 27 yr old wedding photographer living in Santa Maria, CA. I am fun. Creative. Very laid back. I am a true romantic. I will probably cry at your wedding. I love,  love, love to snowboard it is my therapy. I think knee high socks rock. I need chocolate every night. When I was younger I used to love scary movies... and now I can't watch them. I love BBQs. Old barns. Uggs. Bouncing with my daughter on her trampoline. WRXs. flickr. Birthday weekend with the girls. Any wedding reality show + top chef. Weddings! Meeting awesome in love couples who are ready to jump in front of my lens for some fun.  

I am a wedding + portrait photographer who loves people. I can't wait to meet you + share your day + capture your love.

Crystal + Mike – Santa Barbara

I headed to SB to meet up with the oh so sweet Crystal + Mike for their engagement session… I couldn’t have wished to have so much fun. We roamed around the mission + downtown finding all kinds of fun spots to shoot at. The only request was a fun kissing shot up in a tree. They are going to send out the most awesome save the dates that say “Crystal + Mike sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G”  I think this picture may just work well, what do you think?!?
